Gardasil 9 Indications/Uses

Gardasil 9 is indicated for active immunisation of individuals from the age of 9 years against the following HPV diseases: Premalignant lesions and cancers affecting the cervix, vulva, vagina and anus caused by vaccine HPV types; Genital warts (Condyloma acuminata) caused by specific HPV types.
Gardasil 9 is indicated for active immunisation of individuals from the age of 9 through 45 years against the following HPV diseases: Cancers affecting the oropharynx and other head and neck sites caused by HPV types 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58.
The indication for cancers affecting the oropharynx and other head and neck sites is approved by the United States (U.S.) under accelerated approval based on effectiveness in preventing HPV-related anogenital disease. Continued approval for this indication in the United States may be contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in a confirmatory trial.
